Please join us for the North American Interfaith Network’s NAIN-Connect 2011 Conference, to be held July 24-26 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in beautiful Tempe, Arizona. The conference keynote speaker will be by Mussie Hailu, a Golden Rule World Leader from Ethopia. We look forward to a wonderful conference, with great fellowship and lots of fun. Conference Details:
Hotel: $74/night at the Embassy Suites (click the link to book reservations online at the group rate, or call 1-480-897-7444). There is a free shuttle to and from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Info Sheet Click. After the July 20th deadline, contact by phone only to register.
Conference Registration: $250 for full conference registration. Includes Meals.
Sunday-Only Registration: $50, includes banquet.
Monday/Tuesday Registration: $100 per day, includes meals.
Keynote Speaker, Ambassador Mussie Hailu, Golden Rule World Leader from Ethiopia:
Mussie Hailu was born and grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and studied Comparative Religions, International Relationships, Management and Metaphysical Philosophy. He also attended the Peace building & Development Institute at the School of International Service at American University.
He has spoken to the United Nations and International Peace Cities Conference in Hiroshima. He also has established International Golden Rule Day for April 5th the past three years at the United Nations and around the world. He is an international advocate and activist for a culture of peace and interfaith harmony. “May Peace Prevail on Earth” and The Golden Rule are his mottos in life.

Note on Weather in July: Phoenix is very warm in the summertime, so be sure to drink plenty of water! And do bring a sweater, regardless of the weather outdoors, it’s 72° at the airport, 72° in the shuttle, and 72° at the conference. The Embassy Suites also has a very lovely and refreshing swimming pool.

11:15 a.m. – Leave Hotel for Gurdwara, located at 2303-9th Street (9th St. and Oak) in Phoenix.
Noon to 12:45 p.m.- Gurdwara worship service and 1:00 – Langar where a vegetarian lunch will be served, then tour of the new Gurdwara, pictured behind original Gurdwara. Then, back to the Hotel. (This is optional and an advance RSVP will be needed for transportation – Nancy@azifm.org.)

Wednesday, July 27
7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. – GUIDED TOUR TO THE GRAND CANYON. First bus is sold out and a waiting list is started for a larger bus – please let us know if you’d like to see one of the Seven Wonders of the World!
Cost — $99.00 – Includes travel, park admission, professional guide.
Cost — $11.00.- Optional Imax Movie about the forming of the Grand Canyon
Cost — $3.00 each – suggested tip for the driver and the guide.
Cost — $your expense — Lunch at Grand Canyon and dinner on the way home.
RESERVATIONS: Needed to AIFM by June 30 with full payment by July 18th. This was extended until July 11, but options still exist if you let us know right away. (See link above to register for this trip!)
Close to Embassy Suites: Denny’s (across the street), Garcia’s Mexican Food Grill (on site), .4 mile south, a hot walk that we don’t recommend: Whole Foods, Starbucks, McDonalds, Pita Shack, Jimmy Johns Sandwich Shop, QDoba Mexican Grill.
